The Contax G1 is a 35mm autofocus rangefinder-style camera built around a titanium body and Carl Zeiss G-mount optics. It offers aperture priority and full manual exposure, plus exposure compensation and AE lock. The viewfinder automatically adjusts its framing to match the mounted lens. This is a standard (non-green label) unit, so it works with the 28mm, 45mm, and 90mm G lenses but not the 21mm Biogon or the 35-70mm zoom.

This kit includes the Carl Zeiss Biogon T* 28mm f/2.8, a compact wide-angle lens known for its sharpness and contrast. It’s a great choice for street, landscape, and environmental photography. It also comes with the Contax TLA 280, a dedicated TTL flash that pairs with the G1 for easy, well-balanced exposures indoors or after dark.

All sales of film, merchandise, super 8 and point & shoot cameras, are final and cannot be returned or exchanged. Returns on working cameras will incur a 20% restocking fee. For cameras found to not be functioning we offer a 30-day return policy. To be eligible for a return, the camera must be in its original cosmetic condition, with all packaging and accessories included. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
