The Contax RX is a 35mm SLR built for the Contax/Yashica mount and Carl Zeiss’s lineup of manual focus lenses. Its standout feature is the Digital Focus Indicator in the viewfinder, which shows you which way to turn the focus ring and confirms when you’ve nailed it, making manual focus faster and more precise. It offers program, aperture priority, shutter priority, and full manual modes, along with a built-in motor drive and shutter speeds up to 1/4000s.

This kit includes the classic Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4, a fast standard prime known for its sharpness, rich color, and smooth background blur. It’s a great choice for portraits, low light, and everyday shooting. Powered by a single 2CR5 battery, the RX pairs modern conveniences with some of the best glass ever made for 35mm.
