We understand the suspense of waiting days to see if your exposure was right or if you even loaded the camera correctly. Thats why we’re hosting another Film 101 Class to share everything we wish we knew when we were starting.

This isn’t a lecture. It is an intimate, hands-on workshop taught by the pros who process film every day. We designed this class to bridge the gap between guessing and knowing. Helping you go from knowing nothing about your camera to shooting your first roll with confidence.

Your Registration Includes:

• Camera Rental: Don't have a camera? Rent one of ours for $5 for the duration of the class (limited quantities)
• Film: A fresh roll of color film to shoot during the workshop.
• Processing: Development and scanning of your in-class roll through our Custom Scans service
• A Guide: Our exclusive "Film 101" printed booklet to take home.
• Mentorship: Small group instruction with real 1-on-1 attention.

What You Will Learn:

• The Exposure Triangle: Understanding ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed without the confusion.
• Metering: How to read light so your photos aren't too dark or too bright.
• Loading: How to load and unload film correctly.
• Questions: Any questions you may have answered

What to Bring

Bring comfy shoes, weather-appropriate clothes, and a notebook or phone to take notes. Don't forget your camera.

Camera Rental

If you don't have a 35mm SLR camera for the class, you can rent one from us for a $5.00 fee. All class attendees also receive a 15% in-store discount on any cameras we have for sale. If you rent a camera from us and later decide to buy one, we will credit your $5.00 rental fee toward your purchase—in addition to your 15% discount!
