The Fujica GW690 is a 6x9 medium format rangefinder that produces massive, highly detailed negatives, just eight frames per roll of 120 film. Its oversized body and rangefinder design earned it the nickname “Texas Leica,” and it’s a reliable workhorse for landscapes, travel, and documentary work.

It comes equipped with a fixed Fujinon 90mm f/3.5 lens, which offers a field of view similar to a 40mm lens on 35mm, a natural perspective for everyday shooting and wide scenes alike. The built-in leaf shutter is quiet and syncs with flash at all speeds. The camera is fully mechanical and requires no batteries, though it has no built-in light meter, so you’ll want a handheld meter or metering app.
