Introducing:

The "Make Your Move" Community Zine and Exhibition!

Submissions are open for our 2026 community zine and show! This year's theme is MOTION. Show us what movement means to your art. Is it personal change, the passage of time, or the energy of a passing moment? However you define it, don't let your best work sit still. Submit your film photos to be published in our zine and exhibited in our group show.

Submissions are open now until March 16th, 2026.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: We are looking for film photos only. We deeply appreciate our customers and want this project to be a true showcase of the incredible work coming through our lab! Because of this, all submitted images must have been developed and/or scanned by theFINDlab. *International submissions are welcome; however, a U.S. domestic address is required for shipping zines and artwork.

If work is selected for the group show, photos will be printed at 11x14 in. Please ensure submitted files are at least 240 dpi.

File Naming & Uploading: Please group your 5 images into a single .ZIP file for upload. Before zipping, you must name each of your photo files using this exact format: YOURNAME_CAMERA_FILMSTOCK (for example, JohnDoe_CanonAE1_Portra400.jpg).

HOW TO SUBMIT:

• Step 1. Submit for the Zine (Free): Upload your .ZIP file containing up to 5 of your best film images. All submissions are automatically considered for the printed community zine at no cost.
• Step 2. Opt-in for the Group Show ($1): If you also want your work considered for the physical gallery exhibition, simply check the "I want to be considered" box on the form. This will charge a $1 fee to place a card on file.
• Step 3. Group Show Selection Fee: If your artwork is chosen for the gallery walls, the card on file will be charged an $80 production fee per selected piece. This fee covers the professional printing, matting, and framing of your artwork for the exhibition. (After the show, prints will be shipped to you, but theFINDlab will retain the frames and mats). The 40 artists selected for the gallery show are automatically published in the zine. If the artist chooses to sell artwork during the show, theFINDlab will take a 30% commission.

(Please note: While we wish we could feature everyone, space is limited. Submitting your work or checking the group show opt-in box does not guarantee a spot in the zine or the physical exhibition.)

• Opening Reception & Zine Release Party: Friday, June 5th, 6-9pm

ZINE PERKS & FULFILLMENT: Everybody who makes it into the zine will be able to order a copy for 50% off including shipping. Zines will officially start shipping the Monday following the release party. If you attend the release party in person, you can pick up your copies right there.

TERMS AND AGREEMENT: If artwork is chosen for the gallery show, theFINDlab will charge the card on file $80 per artwork selected, up to two pieces per artist. The selection fee covers the printing, matting, and framing of selected artworks. Prints will be printed on premium photo paper at 11x14 and matted in a 16x20 black frame. After the show, we will send artists their prints back, but theFINDlab will retain the frames and mats. If the artist chooses to sell artwork during the show, theFINDlab will take a 30% commission.

Usage Rights: You grant theFINDlab the rights to display your submitted images. theFINDlab reserves the right to use or not use any submitted images at its discretion.

Marketing and Promotion: You grant theFINDlab permission to use your images for the purpose of marketing and promoting the zine and the gallery show, both online and in person. This may include, but is not limited to, social media posts, website content, print materials, and event displays.

Ownership: You retain full ownership of your images. By submitting, you confirm that you are the sole owner of the rights to the images and have the legal authority to grant usage rights to theFINDlab. You agree not to submit images that are owned by others or that infringe upon any third-party rights. This agreement does not transfer ownership, only the rights for usage as specified above.

Credit: Proper credit will be given to you as the creator of the images wherever they are used. The credit will be based on the information you provide with your submission.

Shipping & Fulfillment: Zines will begin shipping the week following the opening reception. After the group show concludes, selected exhibition prints will be available for local pickup from July 8th to 15th. If prints are not picked up by that date, we will charge the card on file and ship them to the address in your billing information International submissions are welcome; however, a U.S. domestic address is required for shipping zines and artwork. By submitting to the FIND Community Art Show and Zine, you agree to the terms listed above.
